Upon successful completion of this training and the associated case assessment, medical practitioners may apply to the relevant State Department of health for authority to prescribe section 100 drugs for the management of HIV in Australia.
Please note that the Introduction to HIV Care for General Practitioners is a pre-requisite for this course. This is an online course and you will be provided with access prior to attending the HIV s100 Prescriber Course.

Practitioners from all Australian states and territories and from New Zealand are invited to attend.
This course is targeted at General Practitioners. A limited number of places are available for nurses, allied health workers and registrars/trainees.
A limited number of travel scholarships are available for regional/ rural GP’s; please contact ASHM for further information.

This is an online course that will provide you with the basic skills to manage the clinical care of people living with HIV in a primary care setting. You will be provided with access details for the module prior to attending the HIV s100 Prescriber course
Course fee information
The fee to attend this course is $600 (ASHM Members) or $650 (non ASHM Members).
There may be limited course-fee support for practitioners working in some Australian jurisdictions. ASHM will notify you post-registration if you are eligible to apply for a course fee reduction/bursary. Alternatively, please contact ASHM to see if you are eligible. .
HIV & AIDS Conference discount
The Australasian HIV & AIDS Conference is being held in Adelaide from the 16-18 November. If you are registered to attend the conference you will receive a discount of $150 on your course registration. If you’re registered to attend the HIV & AIDS conference, please ensure you select the ‘conference registration discount’ checkbox when registering for this course in order to receive the discount.
