COTA SA, History Trust of South Australia, SAMESH & Feast Festival, March 2021
Join us to capture stories and mementoes from our LGBTI history.
Think of up to 10 items (photos, flyers, sports trophies, banners, posters etc) you would like digitised or photographed, and about the stories that go with them.
There will be people who will scan and photograph; scribes to help with writing your story; there will also be other people’s stories to read including about Adelaide’s queer nightlife. As well, we’ll have discussions about how to preserve our histories with 15 minute talks at the following times:
- 10.00am Welcome; Why LGBTI stories deserve to be collected
Nikki Sullivan, Centre of Democracy - 11.00am Tips for archiving and storing for the future
Jenny Scott, Rainbow Hub Advisory Group, COTA SA - 2.00pm Capturing our stories in writing
Cris Davis, Chair, Rainbow Hub Advisory Group, COTA SAoral - 3.00pm SAMESH and the AIDS quilts
Janiece Pope, SAMESH
