Join SHine SA as we explore teenage pregnancies in culturally and
linguistically diverse communities in South Australia in a ReFRESH Forum.

We will explore:
> how and why the pregnancies are happening
> strategies to support young CALD women

Guest Speaker: Zakiyyah Muhammad-Suraju
Zakiyyah is the Director of SA Pregnancy and Parenting
Counselling Services. Zakiyyah has worked with some of the
most vulnerable members of our community, such as women
and their families who have been affected by domestic
violence, FGM, sex work, drug related problems, sexual
assault and PTSD.

Panel members include:
> Zakiyyah Muhammad-Suraju (Director, SA Pregnancy and
Parenting Counselling Services)
> Leah Sarkanj (Social Worker, Multicultural Youth SA)
> Cece Hylton-Dei (Support Services Worker, PEACE Multicultural
Services)
We will also hear from young women in the community.

ReFRESH forums:

SHine SA offers a range of one-off forums for workers covering single topics that relate to sexual and reproductive health and relationships.

A range of expert guest speakers and people with lived experience are invited to share their knowledge and stories with the audience.

ReFRESH Forums are also excellent networking opportunities, as they often bring together professionals and workers from a range of diverse organisations and sectors.
