This study is conducted by the University of New South Wales. It aims to monitor experiences of the use of injecting drugs and/or living with hepatitis in Australia.
To participate in this research study, you need to meet the following inclusion criteria:
- Be over 18 years of age;
- Have ever injected drugs AND/OR lived with hepatitis C in Australia;
- Be able to read and complete the survey in the English language.
Please read the Participant Information Statement before deciding whether to complete the survey. If you do decide to participate, you will complete an online survey which will ask you questions about injecting drug use, hepatitis C, mental health and wellbeing, sources of social support, and experiences of stigma and discrimination. We expect it will take up to 15 minutes to complete.
This is a very important study which we hope will benefit others who inject drugs or live with hepatitis C. We greatly appreciate your time in completing this survey. Please note that your responses are completely anonymous and confidential.
If you require assistance in completing this survey, you can contact a researcher on our toll free number: 1800 076 021. You will not be charged for this call. Please provide a first name (it does not have to be your real name) and a phone number that we can call you back on. The researcher will contact you to take you through the survey. The researcher will be someone with lived experience of hepatitis C. This service is free of charge – you do not have to pay for assistance. Please note that the survey will remain anonymous, and the researcher will keep your details confidential. Your contact details will be deleted after you have completed the survey or if you decide you do not wish to take part.
