Department of Health and Aged Care (Australia),  Dec 2022 (Via SiREN e-alert, March 2023)

The National Communicable Disease Surveillance System has created a Dashboard to enable service providers and planners to access up-to-date information about notifiable infections.

The Dashboard is useful for monitoring rapidly evolving epidemiological trends, such as those related to the current syphilis outbreak. However, the Dashboard can also be used to search for recent notification data on HIV, viral hepatitis, chlamydia, and gonococcal infections.

Filters can be applied to generate graphs and tables incorporating a range of variables including: •    Notification rates •    Number of notified cases•    State/territory •    Year/month of notification •    Age group•    Sex

The tool is useful for: •    identifying trends and outbreaks•    responding to potential outbreaks•    developing public health policy/programs to reduce incidence and impact•    informing resource allocation decisions•    tracking progress towards against targets.
