New WHO Guideline on HIV says: ‘treat all’

The WHO Guideline on when to start antiretroviral therapy and on pre-exposure prophylaxis for HIV, released 30 September, recommends that everyone diagnosed with HIV should be offered immediate antiretroviral therapy (ART), and all people at ‘substantial’ risk of HIV should be offered pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP).
